Bullet-resistant counter for banks and currency exchanges

Banks and currency exchanges remain a target for robberies, precisely because cash changes hands there. The counter is the weak link: it is the one place where a visitor and an employee meet directly, often with money or valuable documents within reach. A bullet-resistant counter window with an integrated or adjoining cash tray solves this without slowing down service — the customer sees and hears the employee, but any physical contact with money or documents runs through a secured transfer zone.

Our counter window range combines a bullet-resistant pane with an integrated transfer drawer, so one coherent system secures both sightlines and exchange. For purely monetary flows — for example at a cash desk or exchange counter — a separate cash tray is often the simpler, more compact choice. Both product lines are available as standard, and where a counter has a non-standard shape or size, we also offer bespoke counter windows.

The cash trays themselves come in several models — from the compact Model 5 to the Model 12-C4 with speech slots for voice contact — so the choice can be matched to the layout and height of your existing counter.

Standards

In practice, FB4 is the standard bullet-resistance class for banks. Our counter windows 7005, 7020, 7052 and 7053 are fitted with FB4 as standard, which covers most bank counters. Wurster offers bullet-resistant solutions across its range up to FB7; for a higher risk profile — for example a currency exchange handling larger volumes of cash — our engineers review with you whether a heavier class is feasible through the bespoke line.
