Safety standards

Wurster transfer systems are certified to the European standard EN-1063 for bullet resistance and to the F60 and F90 fire-resistance classes.

EN-1063 defines 7 classes based on the weapon and ammunition the glazing or structure withstands. For counters, FB4 (handguns), FB6 (powerful handguns) and FB7 (rifles) are the most relevant classes.

Fire resistance is expressed by the duration the structure withstands a fire — F60 (60 minutes) and F90 (90 minutes). The right class depends on the specific fire compartmentation of the building.
